Art at the Institute is pleased to present a group selling exhibition. Paintings selected for the exhibition feature works by Vasyl Bazhaj, Sergei Belik, Mykhailo Deyak, Oleh Denysenko, Roman Luchuk, Temo Svirely, Max Vityk and works from the IconArt Gallery collection.

An installation of multimedia artworks by Ukrainian artist-activists Daria Marchenko and Daniel Green depicting their critical commentary on and reaction to the recognized causes, turmoil and consequences of the ongoing Russian military aggression and war waged in eastern Ukraine.

An exhibition of recent abstract paintings by Ukrainian artist Les Panchyshyn communicating and connecting with an exploratory manifestation he calls “self-identification.”

For the better part of two years from 2006–2008, Ukrainian photographer Anna Voitenko documented the unique life of willow work artisans in the village of Iza (Zakarpatska Oblast), Ukraine.

Valeriy Hnatenko (1947–1987) is recognized as an artist’s artist whose highly personal paintings and drawings reflected his commitment to naturalism as a subject, his complex involvement with the art of the past, topical cultural and humanistic concerns, and with his own Ukrainian identity.

Oleksiy Lytvynenko’s ethereal paintings combine organic representational elements with abstracted backgrounds in a way that is both decorative and modernist. His motifs include landscape, water, plants, insects, fish, and amphibians.

Art at the Institute concludes its 2017–18 season with an exhibition of mixed media works by American-born Ola Rondiak, titled Identity, Interrupted, in which the artist uses traditional cut-and-paste collage and painting techniques to touch on influences ranging from personal history, womanhood, ethnic and national identity, politics, to street art.
