On September 25, 2018, President Petro Poroshenko and First Lady Maryna Poroshenko met with leaders of the Ukrainian community at the Ukrainian Institute during a working visit to the United States. The Head of State thanked for the strong support of the Ukrainian community of the United States in a joint struggle for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
The President also congratulated the entire Ukrainian community, the leadership of the Ukrainian Institute of America on the 70th anniversary: “The inspiration is the fact that the cause of Volodymyr Dzus, the founder of this institute, is not only continued, but also flourished.” The Head of State also noted that he was impressed with the opinion of Americans about Volodymyr Dzus: “His life is a continuous struggle, a competition for an unattainable goal reinforced by a passionate belief in victory. His biography is a victory over the toughest living conditions due to intelligence, hard work and unchanging belief in his ideals”…
