SUMMARY:Ukraine’s Stolen Children
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an urgent and timely program on the illegal abduction of Ukrainian children in Russia’s war against Ukraine. Ambassador Gregory Slayton\, Founder and Chairman of Slayton Capital and author of best-selling Portraits of Ukraine: A Nation at War\, will speak on why global support for Ukraine matters. Nathaniel Raymond\, Executive Director\, Humanitarian Research Lab at the Yale School of Public Health\, will provide insight from ongoing efforts to track and document the abductions.  \nThe program will be followed by a book signing and reception. Advance registration is requested. Contributions are appreciated. Hailing from the great state of New Hampshire\, Slayton now resides in Dallas and NYC with his wife and four grown children who visit as much as possible. Slayton is also Distinguished Visiting Professor of Leadership at some of the finest Universities in the world. Slayton was appointed by President George W. Bush as the United States Chief of Mission to Bermuda\, a position he held for four years from his swearing in by Secretary of State Rice on August 15\, 2005 until August\, 2009.  He was extended twice by President Obama and is the only U.S. Diplomat in history to receive the Distinguished Foreign Service Award from GOP House & Senate Leadership as well as the Congressional Black Caucus. \nNathaniel A. Raymond is the Executive Director\, Humanitarian Research Lab at the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) and a Lecturer in the Department of the Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases (EMD) at YSPH. He was formerly a Lecturer of Global Affairs at the Jackson School for Global Affairs from 2018 – 2022. His research interests focus on the health implications of forced displacement; methodologies for the assessment of large-scale disasters\, including pandemics; and the human rights and human security implications of information communication technologies (ICTs) for vulnerable populations\, particularly in the context of armed conflict. \nMarta Fedoriw serves as Chair of Return Ukraine’s Children\, a program of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA). Marta initiated the annual Children Praying for Children event commemorating International Children’s Day – June 1 – throughout the United States. On April 18\, 2025\, Marta appeared on CNN to discuss the abduction children of Ukraine. \n\nDaria Zarivna is a social activist\, entrepreneur\, a propagandist who actively supports and disseminates the norms of the Ukrainian government. She is COO of Bring Kids Back UA\, a Ukrainian humanitarian program created at the initiative of the President of Ukraine\, Volodymyr Zelenskyy\, in 2023. \n  \nUkraine’s Stolen Children
