Pianist-composer Earl MacDonald’s latest JUNO-nominated recording, Mirror of the Mind, embodies his ongoing search for new ways to express himself musically, while challenging the defining boundaries of jazz. His new album Open Borders is a combination of his original compositions and arrangements of familiar melodies, presented in new, interesting ways.
