Art at the Institute is pleased to announce an exhibit "Hard Coal, Hard Times: The Social Realist Art of Nicholas Bervinchak" guest curated by Mike Buryk that opens on September 28, 2018 in our New York gallery. Born in 1903 in the northeastern Pennsylvania coal region, Bervinchak was a coal miner-turned-artist.
