SAINTS: Photographs by Sasha Maslov
January 24, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - March 29, 2025 @ 6:00 pm
War doesn’t knock on your door asking if it can come in, it’s not warning you what will happen to your life, your family, the life of your community, your village or town or your country. It won’t tell you what your future will look like. It knocks everything out; it takes everything away from you without warning, and it gives in return one thing – a chance for you to fight back.
We invite you to the opening of SAINTS on Friday, January 24, 2025, 6 – 8 PM at the Ukrainian Institute of America. The exhibition will be on view through Sunday, March 30, 2025.
SAINTS is an evocative exhibition and photobook by acclaimed Ukrainian photographer Sasha Maslov, capturing the poignant stories and portraits of Ukrainians caught in the maelstrom of the Russian war against Ukraine from 2022 to 2023. In this compelling collection, Maslov redefines modern sanctity and self-sacrifice.
Copies of SAINTS will be available for purchase and signing by Maslov.
