The Co-Pilot Project Launch and Benefit

We would like invite you to an event to launch a new initiative of Razom for Ukraine: The Co-Pilot Project. The Ukrainian Institute of America is co-sponsoring this event.

After an exploratory mission trip to Ukraine, Dr. Tomycz and his colleagues are determined that the best way to develop high-quality Ukrainian subspecialty surgical programs is to help train young surgeons through mentoring relationships. Just as a pilot on a long arduous flight relies heavily on his co-pilot, Razom will bring surgeons from U.S./Canada/Europe that will function in that supportive role and share their experience with Ukrainian neurosurgeons.

The Co-Pilot Project team will travel to Ukraine for 3 months this summer to start what we hope will be a lifelong correspondence and professional affiliation with multiple Ukrainian neurosurgeons and their institutions.

While we are starting with neurosurgery, we hope to expand these efforts into other sectors of healthcare.

You will also have a chance to bid on a silent auction of works from some of our favorite New York artists including Sashko Danylenko, Ira Lysa and more. Stay tuned for the final list.

Funds collected for CPP would be used to subsidize surgery for indigent patients who cannot pay for surgery as well as to directly assist in the training and education of Ukrainian neurosurgeons. As well as to help ship a container with medical equipment needed for the training to Ukraine via Support Hospitals in Ukraine.
