On March 17th, the Ukrainian Institute of America, in partnership with Sober St. Patrick’s Day®, opens its doors at the end of the parade route to celebrate Irish-Ukrainian friendship. Shaped by parallel histories of struggle, resilience, and cultural pride, Ireland and Ukraine share deep affinities and a longstanding respect for one another’s traditions.
This special collaboration will honor Irish and Ukrainian culture, music, storytelling, and community. Join us for a joyful, alcohol-free, and inclusive celebration!

The mission of Sober St. Patrick’s Day® is to reclaim the true spirit of St. Patrick’s Day by changing the perception and experience from an occasion for binge drinking and the misuse of alcohol or other drugs to a celebration of the richness of Irish culture and the legacy of St. Patrick.
