Annual Winter Art Show and Sale
December 16, 2021 - February 20, 2022
Art at the Institute extends a warm invitation to the general public for the return of its Annual Winter Art Show and Sale at the Ukrainian Institute of America. This traditional annual event provides a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and is a grand place to find unique artworks for the special people in your life, or for treating yourself.
Additionally, it’s a great opportunity to spend time looking at art — three floors of the Ukrainian Instiutute will be filled with works by noted artists who have previously exhibited with Art at the Institute. Each piece is available for purchase and will be packed and passed to the buyer at the time of the sale (or by special arrangement) to encourage holiday gift giving. Available for purchase will be paintings small and large, ranging from realism to abstraction, using a variety of media.
Participating artists include: Vasyl Bazhaj (Lviv, Ukraine), Sergei Belik (Odesa, Ukraine), Anya Farion (New York, NY), Ihor Grechanyk (Kyiv, Ukraine), Serhii Hai (Lviv, Ukraine), Hanna Kryvolap (Kyiv, Ukraine), Roman Luchuk (Kosiv, Ukraine), Ivan Marchuk (Kyiv, Ukraine), Les Panchyshyn (Kyiv, Ukraine), Roman Romanyshyn (Lviv, Ukraine), Ilona Sochynsky (New York, NY), Temo Svirely (Kyiv, Ukraine, died 2014), Max Vityk (Kyiv, Ukraine), Mykola Zhuravel (Kyiv, Ukraine), Volodymyr Zhuravel (Kyiv, Ukraine).
As always, all sale proceeds will benefit the artists and help support Art at the Institute’s continued programming. Since its founding in 1955, Art at the Institute’s mandate is to provide modern and contemporary Ukrainian and Ukrainian-American artists a platform for their creative output, presenting it throughout the year to the broader public on New York’s Museum Mile. You will find some real treasures here, so make Art at the Institute’s Winter Show and Sale a gift-buying stop, and enjoy artful holidays!
The Winter Art Show Sale will run from December 16 to January 16, 2022 at the Ukrainian Institute of America, 2 East 79th Street (at Fifth Avenue). Public hours are Thursday to Sunday, 12:00–6:00pm.
