ATO participants and athletes, with the support of the Kyiv City Association of ATO Veterans, are organizing a cycle tour “Chumak Way to North America” with a length of more than 10,000 km, which will take place from May 2018 to August 2018, through 25 states and provinces, namely : California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Ontario, New York, Quebec, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland and DC.

The Chornobyl disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on April 26, 1986 at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine. The detonation was caused by a systems test that was conducted by poorly-trained personnel. Human error led to the worst nuclear disaster in the world.

This June “We Are One” has organized a volunteer trip to a small town in Central Ukraine. Their mission is to bring native English speakers to an English summer camp and work with students learning English as a second language. “We Are One” organization is searching for highly motivated volunteers who love to travel and are passionate about working with kids.

Art at the Institute, the visual arts programming division of The Ukrainian Institute of America, presented its first exhibition of the Spring season on Friday evening, March 23, with an opening reception introducing eloquent landscape paintings, titled Silence, by Kyiv-based contemporary artist Oleksiy Lytvynenko.
