On Friday, March 3, 2017 Film at the Institute presented a North American premiere, film The Nest of the Turtledove (Hnizdo Horlytsi) on March. The film is a story that resonates for a generation of Ukrainian women – working in a foreign land to build a better future for their family back home. Inequality, class and gender drive this acclaimed new drama to the heights of tension amid moral complications that seem impossible to resolve. Q&A with the film director Taras Tkachenko, lead actress Rymma Zyubina and producer Andriy Suyarko followed the screening.
